Nancy Kaye (Cullins) Jones, 84, of Newcomerstown went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 30, 2024 at her home surrounded by her family and loved ones. She was born at home in Dresden, Ohio on June 26, 1939. She was the daughter of the late Ernest “Jay” and Beatrice (Lacy) Cullins of Dresden.
Nancy attended Jefferson High School and was an avid member of the Moose Lodge with her late husband, James E. Jones, where she earned her College of Regents degree. Jim and Nancy were married on July 21, 1956 and welcomed their two beautiful daughters Cynthia (Jones) Thornsley and Rebecca (Jones) Dovenbarger.
Nancy worked 37 years at Coshocton County Memorial Hospital until she retired. She was a member of the Isleta United Methodist Church where she sang in the choir for many years, as well as a member of the Blue Ridge Grange.
Nancy leaves behind her two daughters, Cynthia (Bill) Thornsley of Coshocton and Becky (Eddie) Dovenbarger of Newcomerstown; three grandchildren Tonya (Melvin) McVay of Coshocton, Chad (Ashley) Thornsley of Coshocton, Tiffany (Beau) Hostetler of Newcomerstown; and 11 great grandchildren, Cody (Heidi), Emily, Devin, Bradyn, Abby, Jacey, Blaine, Karley, Jared, Kiah, and Kelsea;
Nancy is also survived by her siblings Barb (Mick) Archer, Wava (Jerry) Strohacker, and Terry (Sandy) Cullins; two great great granddaughters; Special friend Luther House; several nieces and nephews; and her two wiener dogs, Sissy and Madison.
Along with her parents and husband, she is preceded in death by her great nephew Jerad Frew.
Friends may call at the Miller Funeral Home, 639 Main Street, Coshocton, Ohio 43812 on Friday, February 2, 2024 from 12:00pm – 2:00pm with funeral services beginning at 2:00pm with Pastor Dan Eggan officiating. Burial will follow at South Lawn Cemetery.
Memorial contributions can be directed towards the Isleta United Methodist Church or the Church of God Coshocton; envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
