Valjean Shaw Obituary
Valjean A. Shaw, 78, of Coshocton passed away Saturday October 20, 2018 at her home surrounded by family. She was born in Coshocton on March 1, 1940 to the late Lewis and Hazel (Philabaum) Burkey.
She was a member of the Coshocton Moose Lodge, worked in various restaurants and retired from Baltic Rubber.
Valjean is survived by her son Randy (Varonica) Jennings of Coshocton; siblings Russell (Polly) Burkey of Thomson, GA, William (Matilda) Burkey of Marana, AZ, Cecil (Rose) Burkey of Temple, TX, Vernon (Jean) Burkey of Thomson, GA, Edna (Walter) Shaw of West Lafayette, OH. Donna Felton of Coshocton, OH, Mary Burkey of Messena, GA, and Sandra Banks of Coshocton, OH; grandchildren Candice (Brandon) Waggoner, David Jennings, Stephanie (Wesley) Sesser, Dustin Richcreek, Stephani (Heather) Anderson, and Ryan Anderson; seven great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Along with her parents she is preceded in death by her daughter Becky Heck; granddaughter Misty Jennings; and brother Kenneth Burkey.
Graveside services for Valjean will be held at Coshocton County Memory Gardens on Friday, October 26, 2018 at 1:00pm with Pastor Mark Granger officiating.
