Russell "Chip" Young Jr. Obituary
Russell Eugene “Chip” Young Jr., 64, of Coshocton passed away at Genesis Hospital on Thursday, December 13, 2018, surrounded by family and friends.
Russell was born in Coshocton on November 22, 1954 to the late Russell E. Young Sr. and Jean (Finnell) Young Hughes.
He graduated from Coshocton High School, class of 1973. Russell had worked at Buehler’s, Clow Water Systems, Hughes Oil Company before owning and operating his own heating and cooling business in Coshocton. Russell’s last employment was manager of Hurst Pack Heating & Cooling in Mt. Vernon.
Russell was a member of the Coshocton Eagles Club, Coshocton Sportsman Club, and enjoyed fishing, hunting and target shooting.
He is survived by his long-time loving companion Diana Bevins of the home; step children Steven (Kristine) Hartley of Mt. Victory and Adam (Donata) Hartley of Tennessee; Diana’s children Paige (Brandon) Bevins Taylor of Coshocton and Karla (Brian) Bevins Weingarth of West Lafayette; step mother Clara Ellen Young of Dover; brother Kenton (John Becker) Young of Cape Coral, FL and sisters Delbra D. Hughes of Warsaw, B. Lynn (Jon) Els of Warsaw, and Alicia Hughes Wilson of New Castle; nieces and nephews Kendra (Justin) Young Alexander of Dayton, O’Del Lonsinger of Coshocton, Matt (Elivia) Els of Alexandria, Emily (Radin) Els Mathew of West Chester, Amanda Els of Nashville, Lydia Els of Cincinnati, Jason Wilson of New Castle, Amy Wilson of Howard, and Eric (Kelly) Wilson of Walhonding; many great nieces and nephews; an uncle Reuben (Nancy) Finnell of Ravenna and Russell’s two best friends Brent Winegar of Fresno and Ron Locke of Howard.
Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his step father Delbert Hughes.
A memorial service celebrating Russell’s life will be held at New Life Ministries, 727 S. 7th St., Coshocton on Wednesday, December 19, 2018 at 5:00 p.m. with Mark Granger officiating. Russell’s family will greet friends for one hour prior to the service.
