Kathryn Rose (Babcock) Barrick, 87, of West Lafayette passed away at Schoenbrunn Healthcare in New Philadelphia, Ohio on Tuesday December 31, 2019. Kathryn was born in Coshocton on June 18, 1932 to the late Frank and Elizabeth (White) Drushl.
She graduated from Sacred Heart High School, was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and St. Francis Desales Catholic Church in Newcomerstown. Rose was a homemaker throughout her life and treasured her time raising her family. She was also a Lay Minister, was very active in her church, worked at the Coshocton County Fair each year, enjoyed baking and spending time with her family and friends.
Kathryn is survived by her daughter Mary E. (Jim) Lewis of Canton; sons Bob H. Babcock of Coshocton, Joe E. (Ann) Babcock of West Lafayette, Thomas D. (Ingrid) Babcock of Warsaw, David Scott Babcock of Warsaw and Timothy Babcock of FL; 17 grandchildren; numerous great and great great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her first husband of 50 years Robert W. Babcock who passed away in 1989; second husband Victor D. Barrick who passed away in 2004; two sons Michael L. Babcock and John L. Babcock; four sisters Mary Chapman, Francis Wortman, Dorothy Korns and Grace Pennell.
Friends may call at The Miller Funeral Home, 639 Main St., Coshocton on Friday January 3, 2020 from 6:00 PM- 8:00 PM and on Saturday from 9:00 AM – 10:00 AM.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held at Sacred Hearth Catholic Church, 805 Main St., Coshocton on Saturday January 4, 2019 at 10:30 AM with Father Victor Wesolowski officiating. Interment will follow in South Lawn Cemetery.
