Harold R. Hamilton, 87, of Coshocton passed away Monday March19, 2018 at the Coshocton Regional Medical Center.
He was born in Newcomerstown on July 19, 1930 to the late Cletis R. and Helen (Ross) Hamilton.
Harold was a 1948 graduate of Fresno High School and served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War. He was a member of the IBEW 964 1105 as a Construction Electrician retiring from Hilscher-Clarke in 1992. He has been a member of the Grace United Methodist Church since 1973, a life time member of the West Lafayette 602 Masonic Lodge, BPOE 376, Coshocton AMVETS 36, former member of the West Lafayette Chapter Eastern Star, Scottish Rite Valley of Cambridge, and the Aladdin Temple of Columbus, Ohio.
Harold enjoyed attending high school activities that “the girls” were involved in. After retirement, he also enjoyed woodcarving, golf, collecting and restoring antique tractors, and traveling to see his daughters.
Harold is survived by his wife Margaret (Wyler) Hamilton whom he married June 5, 1952; daughters Sue (John) Beardslee of Sheridan, WY and Diane (Brian) Ferron of Hawthorn Woods, IL; granddaughter Katie Beardslee; brother Robert (Leann) Hamilton; and sister Norma Jean (Jim) Shroyer; brother-in-law Tom (Arlene) Wyler; numerous nieces, nephews, grand nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the Grace United Methodist Church, 422 Walnut Street, Coshocton, Ohio on Saturday, March 24, 2018 from 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM with a memorial service beginning at 3:00 PM with Pastor Keith Peachey officiating. Coshocton Elks Lodge service will begin at 2:45 PM and the Coshocton County Veterans Honor Guard will be performing military honors following the Elks service.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the Coshocton Elks Lodge Building Fund, 434 Chestnut St., Coshocton, OH 43812 and/or the Juanita Potts Home, 77 Mission Ridge Rd., Coshocton, OH 43812; envelopes will be available at the church.
