Gene Ramey Obituary
Gene A. “Rusty” Ramey, 76, of Coshocton passed away at Coshocton County Regional Medical Center ICU on Friday August 3, 2018.
Rusty was born in Canton, Ohio on May 12, 1942 to the late Walter Woodrow Wilson Ramey and Mable Louise (Gouge) Ramey.
He graduated from McKinley High School in Canton and had worked at Canton Drop Forge-Portec. Rusty also served in the US Army from 1961-1963 and was a member of the Coshocton AMVETS Post 36.
He is survived by daughters Dawn (David) Eblin of Columbus and Sandra (Stephan) Boydston of Canton; step children Brian J. (Debbie) Robinson of Canton and Jennifer Robinson of Boston, MA; three grandchildren Alex and Cassie Eblin and Abby Ramey; one step grandson Zachery Robinson and several nieces and nephews.
Along with his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife Dianne Ramey whom he married July 27, 1966; she passed away on September 25, 2013; his brothers Walter “Tom” Ramey and Frank Ramey; his sister Floria Lyons and a step son Shawn Robinson. Per his wishes, a cremation will take place.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the American Veterans Organization “AMVETS”, 986 Otsego Ave., Coshocton, Ohio 43812.
