Crystal A. Bowman, 73, of West Lafayette passed away Tuesday, March 21, 2017. She was born in Muskingum County on July 24, 1943 to the late Fred and Mamie (Clark) Schlosser.
Throughout Crystal’s life she had various jobs in the restaurant business and as a homemaker. She enjoyed cooking, flowers and spending time with her grandchildren.
Crystal is survived by her children Randall “Randy” (Margaret) Hammond of West Lafayette, Rodney “Joe” Hammond of West Lafayette, Robin (John) Sharier of Coshocton, Shannon Powell of Coshocton, and Shauna (Joseph) Knighten of West Lafayette; sisters Carole Mitchell and Beverly McElfresh; 23 grandchildren; and 27 great grandchildren.
Along with her parents, Crystal is preceded in death by her sons Russell Hammond and Richard Hammond; great granddaughter Bailey Dotson; and six siblings.
Graveside services will be held at Otsego Methodist Cemetery, 11700 Plainfield Rd., New Concord, Ohio on Friday, March 24, 2017 at 1:00PM with Pastor Steve Young officiating. In lieu of flowers contributions can be directed towards Community Hospice, envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
