Barton E. “Bart” Opphile, 51, of Newcomerstown passed away unexpectedly after a massive heart attack on Wednesday July 20, 2016.
Bart was born in Coshocton on January 21, 1965 to Robert and Nola (Myers) Opphile. He graduated from Newcomerstown High School and was an excellent handyman to all who knew him. He enjoyed country music, hunting, camping, spending time with his friends, family and especially his grandchildren.
Bart is survived by his wife Charlene K. (Barthalow) Opphile whom he married November 5, 1987; three sons Justin Opphile of Newcomerstown, Kyle (Keashia) Opphile of Coshocton and Rusty Opphile of Coshocton; parents Robert and Nola Opphile of Newcomerstown; three grandchildren Keaten, Kamdyn and Kynlea; one brother Kevin (Beth Garrabrandt) Opphile of Newcomerstown; sister Joellen (Mike) Joseph of Uhrichsville; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews; and his special canine companion “Pug”.
Friends may call at The Miller Funeral Home, 639 Main St., Coshocton on Tuesday July 26, 2016 from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM. A graveside service will be held in Bakersville Cemetery on Wednesday at 11:00 AM with Donna Opphile officiating.
Memorial contributions may be directed to funeral home to help defray funeral expenses; envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
