Matt Miller

Matt is a 1993 graduate of Tri-Valley High School in Dresden, 1995 graduate from Ohio University in Zanesville and received his Bachelors in Mortuary Science in 1996 from the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science .  He has been a licensed funeral director and embalmer for 16 years including 5 years at another funeral home in Coshocton.  Matt, his wife Valerie, and their three children Andrew, Madison and Grace have lived in Coshocton since 2004. 

Matt is a member of the Ohio Funeral Directors Association, President of Ohio Funeral Directors Association District 13, serves on the Board of Directors of Home Loan Savings Bank in Coshocton, The Coshocton Chamber of Commerce, The Coshocton Kiwanis Club, The Coshocton Elks Lodge #376, Coshocton Eagles Club, Amvets and American Legion.  In his spare time he enjoys spending time with family and friends, riding four wheelers, camping and playing golf.

Jim Lapp

Jim graduated from Coshocton High School in 1972, he attended OSU and MATC and received his Ohio State Insurance License in October of 2006.  He brings a combined 12 years of experience from another funeral home in Coshocton, he is a member of the Elks Lodge and has two sons Bryan (Coshocton) and Kyle (Ft. Bragg, NC) Jim is the son of the late Welcome Lapp and Della Jane Lapp.

Jim Baylor

Jim graduated from Fairless High School (Navarre, OH) in 1965, he served 6 years in the Army Reserve.  He has been a 38 year member of the Elks Lodge, served in all capacities from local, state and national levels; and is the Past President of the Ohio Elks Association. He has been on the Board of Directors for the Coshocton Head Start for 11 years.  He has been married to Patty for 43 years, they have 3 children and 6 grandchildren.

Valerie Miller

Miller Funeral Home is proud to announce its newest addition to their staff. Valerie will now be the After Care Coordinator at the funeral home, who will handle all after care needs with each family.

Valerie is the wife of owner Matt Miller, Matt and Valerie have three children, Andrew, Madison and Grace. Valerie has worked at Time Warner Media for the last two and half years as an Account Executive. Prior to Time Warner, she also worked for the Coshocton Tribune in Sales and The Longaberger Company in Marketing. She grew up in Frazeysburg where she was a 1995 Tri Valley Graduate, and she has a degree in Business from Zane State College.

Valerie is involved with many organizations and is a member of the Coshocton Rotary Club.

In her spare time, Valerie enjoys spending time with her family, camping, and enjoying time with her friends in Coshocton.

Jeff Thorpe

Jeff Thorpe moved to Coshocton in 1980 from Atchison, KS, where he was an Auto Tech Graduate. He is currently working at AK Steel where he has been for 19 years, and also owns and operates Thorpe’s Automotive. He has been a 19-year member of the Coshocton Elks Lodge. Jeff has been married to Cindi for 29 years, and they have raised three sons, Cody, Tyler, and Tucker, and two step sons Shawn and Shane Grant. In his spare time, Jeff enjoys fishing and hunting.
